My Fine Prints Has Come: Funny Fine Print

Fine print can be, and usually is, deceiving. It can make or break a company’s claim. But in some cases, fine print is just useless- or funny. Therefore, we have compiled a list of eight commercials with fine print that can only be defined as funny.

1. Disney – “Show Your Disney Side”

“Please use The Force responsibly.”

“Do not attempt unless you are mermaid.”

Disney sure has some funny commercials. Their newest line of ads are called “Show Your Disney Side” and show parents acting like children because they long for a Disney vacation. The first commercial depicts a father pretending to be ‘Darth Vader’, from ‘Star Wars’, using hardware store tools. The second commercial shows a mother swimming with fish in an aquarium. Disney made light of these seemingly odd commercials by adding a little funny fine print.

2. Nissan – “Fantasy Drive”

“Cars can’t rail slide. Or do jumps over buildings.”

Not only is the European model of a Japanese car-maker shown in these new American Nissan commercials, but they tell us that “Cars can’t rail slide or jump over buildings.” Man, I guess that I can’t do my trademark jumps over my house anymore. Bummer.

3. Taco Bell – ‘Guess Who Loves Taco Bell”

“These Ronald McDonalds are not affiliated with McDonald’s Corporation and were individually selected as paid endorsers of Taco Bell Breakfast, but man, they sure did love it.”

McDonalds’ mascot is, obviously, Ronald McDonald, a tall, goofy clown. However, these commercials are not from McDonald’s, but instead Taco Bell. The Bell found several people across the country with the unfortunate name of  ‘Ronald McDonald.’ The Bell had them taste some Taco Bell food and Voila!, these Ronalds are Taco Bell fans. “Man, they sure did love it.”

“You are not TJ Oshie. Do not shoot hockey pucks at people without a helmet.”

I am not TJ Oshie. I cannot shoot hockey pucks at people without wearing a helmet.

5. Allstate – “I’m Free: Dog & Motorcycle”

“Trained stunt dog on a closed course. Do not attempt. Stay!”

“Stay!” is the common command to halt a dog. In this Allstate commercial, they’re using it to lighten up the boring ad.

6. Chevrolet – “Month of Celebrations”

“Not all scenes feature actual customers.”

Wait a minute! Chevrolet was honoring their customers with great deals in May & made a commercial to tell the public all about it. Except most of the people in the ad weren’t even real customers, just actors? Nice way to draw in customers, Chevy.

7. Fiat – “Godzilla”

“Didn’t actually happen.”

Apparently Godzilla has a taste for Italian cars. Except it didn’t really happen, so it doesn’t matter.
