My Grammar Got Run Over by a Potato Chip!

Have you ever taken a look at the back of a Mrs. Vickie’s Potato Chip package? If you have, then you’ve probably seen something strange.

First, take a look at the back of a Mrs. Vickie’s Potato Chip package:

Then, take a closer look at the text above the barcode:

Should we live in fear that Mrs. Vickie might eat us? “We think they taste pretty great, and we think you will too.” That implies that the company thinks that their chips are tasty and so are we. Now, we can infer what they are trying to say. “We think they taste pretty great and we hope you’ll think that too.”

Maybe they should ask for a proofreader for Christmas.

I noticed too, and emailed them about this. I read your bio, how did you start this at 17? I’m 18 by the way.

    • Well, I started when I was 12. I found shrinking Glad Storage bags at BJ’s and reported them to consumer watchdog Edgar Dworsky, who runs MousePrint.org. He hooked me up in May 2012 with WBTV News in Charlotte, NC and I have been doing segments with them quarterly since. In July 2013, I decided to start a website and today we have brought over 300 followers almost 250 stories. Thanks for your question, Nathan!
